Build a Proof Stack That Stands Out in Screens
Collect the artifacts that recruiters actually click, so your application passes the skim in 90 seconds or less.

The strongest candidates have a living archive of wins. A proof stack is your collection of tangible evidence that shows, not just tells, what you've accomplished. Here's how to build one that gets clicks.
Ship Assets Before You Need Them
Start with a single folder and drop in:
- Annotated screenshots of product shipping moments (include the before/after)
- Metrics snapshots or dashboards proving growth, activation, or retention
- Looms where you walk through an ops fix, automation, or forecast
- Testimonials, Slack shoutouts, or manager notes that mention scope or impact
The key is to capture these moments as they happen. Don't wait until you need them for a job application.
Package for the Skim
Recruiters spend seconds on each application. Make those seconds count:
- Bundle the top three items into a Notion or Google Doc that opens with a table summarizing the proofs
- Add a headline that maps directly to the role. Example: "Growth loops that added $1.2M ARR in 2024"
- Add a quick CTA at the end (e.g., "Want individual examples? Happy to walk you through the acquisition automation in 5 minutes")
Pair It with Each Application
Once your proof stack is ready, integrate it into your job search:
- Link to the proof stack in the top third of your resume
- Reference one proof in your cover email. When recruiters are curious, the link gives them an immediate hit of credibility
- Update the stack quarterly; archive the rest in a second folder
The Bottom Line
Candidates who ship proof stacks don't just tell stories; they show teams what it will feel like to work together. Start building yours today, and you'll never scramble to find evidence of your wins again.
